The beginning is the most important part...

"Any task in life is easier if we approach it with the one at a time attitude. ... To cite a whimsical saying; 'If you chase two rabbits, both of them will escape.' No one is adequate to do everything all at once. We have to select what is important, what is possible, and begin where we are, with what we have. And if we beginand if we keep going the weight, the worry, the doubt, the depression will begin to lift .... We can't do everything always, but we can do something now, and doing something will help to lift the weight and lessen the worry, 'The beginning,' said Plato, 'is the most important part.'"--Richard L. Evans, Thoughts for One Hundred Days, vol. 4, pp. 89-90

Feeling Grateful and Blessed...

On this cold December night, with a low fire dancing in the buckstove, donned in my jammies with my feet propped up, nestled sleepily on our comfy couch with my babies nearby, some on computers and another sewing, I'm thinking of how blessed and grateful I am just to be "me". Me? Who am I? Trying not to sound like a new "I'm a Mormon" commercial, but most likely I"ll mimic one anyway...I'm a woman, a daughter, a friend...I'm the "muvver" to my babies, the "wady" of the house and my sweetie's best friend. I'm not perfect. I may not always happy and some days I'm not in a very good mood. But that's ok. I'm here. I'm alive and well and going through life, grateful and blessed to be "where" I am today, at this time in my life.....
